Electrical Distribution board, also known as electrical panel board, distributes electrical power feeds into secondary circuits. DBs are installed during the construction stage of a building and each DB consists of MCB/MCCB at primary and MCB/RCCB at the secondary for circuit distribution. In case of any defect in wiring or in case of short circuit, a specific secondary circuit breaker (MCB or RCCB) trips, thereby preventing high short circuit current to reach any gadget or even human and hence adding an element of safety.
