It is used in Three Phase Supply with neutral to break the phase. It is ideal for the protection against overload and short circuit for Motor and other Inductive loads. So, anytime if there is a spike in line voltage or a sudden increase in line current, then this four pole mcb will trip, causing the circuit/power to break, thereby eliminating any associated damage to the connected appliance/load.
